In a note sent by the press office in Portugal, Kate McCann says that the book was written with the aim of "conveying the truth" and "version of events" of the parents of Maddie.

The mother added that "it was not an easy decision"to write the book, "Madeleine, " with every penny that result from sales of this book to revert to "the investigation and search for Madeleine. "

"Nothing is more important to us then to find our little girl, " Kate explained.

Her husband, Gerry McCann, said he was hopeful that the book will help the investigation to find Madeleine in other ways too. ""Our hope is that it has an impact on those who have relevant information (consciously or not), for the present, to share that with our team. Someone have the key piece of the puzzle, " he said.

The English girl disappeared on May 3, 2007, the room where she slept with her two twin brothers while her parents dined with a group of friends at a nearby restaurant at the Ocean Club holiday village at the village of Praia da Luz.
