Girl recovers:
Liver transplantation of Mary, the girl of 5 years of Bragança, who suffered a poisoning by ingestion of poisonous mushrooms, was a success. The information is advanced by the child's paternal grandfather, Eduardo Augusto Cepeda, who, despite being in Braganzça, is always aware of the clinical status of her granddaughter, hospitalized in Coimbra.

"Maria is responding well to treatment, is conscious, but the next few hours are crucial for the stabilization of the clinical, because surgery was too complicated for such a small child," says Eduardo.

But despite the news of her granddaughter clinics are "favorable," Eduardo Cepeda remains very concerned and can hardly sleep due to anxiety. "I'm just hoping that my son has to go high just to Coimbra to visit the girl. I can not wait to see my princess again."

The remaining elements of the family also ate mushrooms are still hospitalized and recovering well.

The parents of little Maria, Fernanda and Nuno Sa Sa, should be discharged before the end of the week. According to the nurse-director of the Centre Hospitalier the northeastern (Chnee), Conceição Vieira, the girl's grandmother still reserve some medical care, "but is clearly recovering," he adds.

Since Sunday the grandfather of Mary goes to hospital every day of Bragança visit his son and daughter. "They are good physically, psychologically, is that they are shaken more because only want to go with the daughter," he adds. Eduardo Cepeda still can not explain what happened, noting that the woman was used to gather mushrooms and knew identify poisonous. "It was a fatality," he concludes.

Yesterday, the association study of mushrooms EcoFungos warned of the dangers of eating wild mushrooms without adequate off-tracking, and advises people to eat mushrooms reject it "even with the smallest doubt" about its toxicity.
