Rita Slof Monteiro

Vanished in February 2006, she was 19 yo, never to be seen again. Good student, friendly, was going to meet some friends. Her last mobile phone call was to these friends, apparently to tell them she was a bit late. Suffers from schizofrenia, was controlled then.

The alert was given by her friends to her father and from this to the police and PJ the very same day. Answer:Do not worry, she will be back when she's cold and hungry.

The father did everything he could think of. He even managed to screen the tapes from the CCTV of the buses between 9:00 and 9:30 (it is illegal to hand these tapes to individuals, only on courts/police request, but he managed it through very friendly people). She was tracked in one or two of them, in one of them she was near another person, a man, and a car. Then someone told the father 'why didn't you check until 10:00?' and he can't forgive himself for not having done it. Where is PJ? Her father goes regularly on tv telling his story, asking for help, it is so so sad to watch!

Thats absolutely horrific Maria, this young lady was clearly in a vulnerable state, her description should of been released as a priority.
Her poor Father must be beside himself, I hope she turns up safe and well as soon as possible!!

There's so much that could be said, but it has all been said before. The PJ are, as we say in England, a waste of space.
