Maria I think you might know the French for it? Merde? Jobby is a colloquial word that some parents may use with their very young children. it belongs in the nursery!

Aha, but do you know where you'd find a jobby wheecher? Wouldn't that be just the ticket?

My bad. It's Scottish humour. A jobby wheecher is Billy Connolly-speak for a mechanism on a plane which disposes of sewage as the plane flies over the sea.

Then the jobbies land in the sea and along comes a wee fishie - swimmety-swimmety and it spies the wee jobby - munchety crunchety and the along comes the fisherman who catches the wee fishie, and it ends up on your plate - munchety crunchety and the whole cycle starts over again :-)

But wouldn't it be nice if there was some kind of mechanism for wheeching Stevo the Jobby? Or perhaps a giant Monty Python foot which would just flatten him?

*grin*

You are right, Rosie, I havent got a clue what the hell you people are going on about. And I bet neither have Maria, Pedro, Alex, Bluj and anyone else not British.

Just what is a 'jobby', and a 'hedgehog', cause my imagination is coming up with a few things, and most are not able to be posted on an open thread.

One of our sayings that might apply (although not the same) is that he is a 'wally wacker', and Im guessing you can work out what that one means. Except for maybe Rosemary, who seems to have led a sheltered life.

And as a French Canadian married to a Brit, I also have no idea what a "jobby" or "hedgehog" terms but I understand what merde is.
