UKIP sacking squabble goes on and on and on

Published: 12:00AM GMT 28 Feb 2001

POLITICAL squabbling is nowhere more vicious than in the UK Independence Party. A week or so ago, we reported that UKIP's leader, Jeffrey Titford, was forced to dismiss his assistant, Tony Bennett, after he circulated a vitriolic email about the party's director of research, Richard North.

Now Bennett has started his own newsletter, On The Grapevine. A fair proportion of its space is given over to a consideration of the role of North. It claims North has a "mesmeric influence over the party"; accuses him of "a bizarre 'back Kashmiri separatists' move in his home town", "trying to set up a rival party organisation in Yorkshire" and "failing to renew his UKIP membership in November".

Bennett keeps up a lively production rate. Issue two - eight pages - is dated February 26. By the following day, he was up to issue four. "All I can reiterate," North responds, "is that if these people could direct even half of the energy they put into internal quarrelling into fighting for our cause, the EU would have collapsed long ago."

UKIP member quits to join Kilroy

9:26am Sunday 13th February 2005
By David Jackman »

THE man who stood in the last general election for the UK Independence Party in the Harlow constituency has quit the party that he now says "was never going anywhere" to join the new Veritas party launched by Euro MP and former BBC talk show host Robert Kilroy-Silk.

Tony Bennett, of Chipping Field, Harlow, was barred from holding key positions within UKIP for two years, until January last year, after writing about what he describes as "radical Muslim activity in Britain". He stood for UKIP in local elections in Harlow, as well as at the last general election.

http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/news/5 ... in_kilroy/

One of the worst offenders was Tony Bennett...He was one among several who believed that he could express his own eccentric views while purporting to speak for UKIP...

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=My7b ... ip&f=false

A key member of Robert Kilroy-Silk's new political party co-founded an organisation with a former chairman of the National Front, the Guardian has learned.

Anthony Bennett, whose name appears in the Electoral Commission's database as the official leader of Mr Kilroy-Silk's party Veritas, was also fired from the UK Independence party last year after publishing a pamphlet describing the prophet Muhammad as a paedophile.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2005 ... erparties1

Kilroy secretly still part of UKIP?

His website still displays their colours...

Maybe you'd like to ask Veritas' official leader (and researcher to Kilroy) Anthony "Muhammed is a pederast" Bennett? Here's his mobile number and email address (both from that website): ***** ****** - **********@**********.com

He's a member of the bonkers Christian organisation which published home addresses and phone numbers of BBC executives in a bid to stop the broadcast of Jerry Springer the Opera, so I'm sure he won't mind people getting in touch.

http://stopveritas.blogspot.com/2005/02 ... -ukip.html

And from the Christian Voice website:-

On Wednesday 16th May, Christian Voice activist Tony Bennett inserted three entirely factual paragraphs in the GPA entry...A GPA activist swooped at 9.35am on Thursday 17th May 2007 to remove the paragraphs, hopefully not while he should have been working away locking up school children for calling each other's clothing 'gay'. Undeterred, Bennett put the articles back in later that day, and made a few other corrections to the biased GPA entry

http://www.christianvoice.org.uk/Alerts/alert006.html

There also appears to be a number of ex-Veritas causing trouble from the outside such as Martin Cole and Tony Bennett.

http://www.democracyforum.co.uk/british ... utter.html

Having left UKIP after a very public falling-out when they refused to appoint him leader, the former daytime TV presenter yesterday launched a new party - the pompously named Veritas - as this column first reported he would. But bizarrely, according to the Electoral Commission, he in fact holds no official office within it.

The fearsome orange politician promises that his new party will be "straight-talking" but has yet to make any comment on why he is not leader. "The fact that Kilroy quit UKIP so very acrimoniously because they refused to make him leader means this is very peculiar," says one observer. "It's not even as though there are any serious legal implications to calling yourself leader of a party. It's just a case of a bit of paperwork."

Veritas is instead headed by one Anthony Bennett, Kilroy's researcher, whose other claim to fame is a pamphlet expounding the view that the Prophet Mohammed was a paedophile. According to details published on the Electoral Commission's website, Mr Bennett holds three of the party's four official offices. The fourth, that of treasurer, is entrusted to Alex Stevenson, who gave £10,000 to help Veritas get off the ground, having branded UKIP "undemocratic" for refusing to make Kilroy its leader.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/peopl ... 84885.html

He was finally released at 5.10pm, having had approximately twelve hairs of his head removed by the root by Police Officers under new regulations that apply to those who refused to have two DNA swabs taken from their mouths.

Eston appointed a new party chairman, Alan Ainscow, who resigned from that post and the party in November. As defections and resignations continued, a number of members and former members, including Anthony Bennett and Ken Wharton, formed a new party, the Popular AlliancePopular Alliance (UK)The Popular Alliance is a political party in the United Kingdom. <BLOCKQUOTE class=uncited>KILROY THREATENS TO SUE
Over silly web gag

A few months back we brought you ******* ***'s little bit of mischief. He'd taken a bit of footage from a comedy DVD and stuck it online with a domain name suspiciously similar to the UK Independence Party. They've got in touch. And they're not happy.

Tony Bennett, Research Assistant to Robert Kilroy-Silk writes:

"I represent Mr Kilroy-Silk and the U.K. Independence Party. You are advised that your site will be reported to the Police and we are currently taking the advice of a libel barrister as to its contents. I am a Solicitor as well as a research assistant.

"You may wish to consider removing the site forthwith."

So the battle is on. Should ******* *** capitulate to legal threats? Or should he stand strong and proud - free to mock silly old fools who spout racist crap against Arabs?
</BLOCKQUOTE>

As you can see, even then he was threatening sites with the police, libel actions etc. And also there was this spoof site - maybe he took notes as to how one could do this at a later date?

Tony Bennett, CountyWatch campaigner, said: "The sign says 'Welcome to Lancashire', it doesn't say 'Welcome to the administrative unit of Lancashire County Council - that would be all right."

The county boundaries marked by the signs were created as part of the Local Government Act in 1972.

Those borders targeted by CountyWatch include the boundaries between Lancashire and Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

Lancashire County Councillor Tony Martin said: "We are the only local authority that promotes the county on its signs so it is a shame that people are spending time, and wasting taxpayers' money, in this way.

<BLOCKQUOTE class=uncited>District Judge Michael Kelly said it was "patently absurd" that Bennett had the right to take the signs down and daub others with black paint near Tenterden, Kent, last year.

"Mr Bennett asserts that he has a legal right and responsibility to defend the rest of us from the `metric menace'," the judge said.

"His contention that he has a right to steal and damage property to prevent the display of metric road signs is patently absurd."

Bennett, manager of the UKIP's Guard the Yard Campaign and a non practising solicitor, had driven down to Tenterden after a tip-off about "illegal" road signs being used.

He buried the 29 signs in four locations underneath bushes.

LEE VALLEY PARK ADMIT DEFEAT IN MILES v. KILOMETRES BATTLE
“SIGNS WILL BE MILES BETTER” - BENNETT

This week anti-metric campaigner Tony Bennett, a 54-year-old market resea-rcher from Harlow, learnt that his group Active Resistance to Metrication (ARM) had won its three-year battle to persuade Lee Valley Park to replace all the Park’s metric footpath signs with signs in miles and yards. ARM had claimed the signs were illegal under the 1994 Traffic Signs Regulations.

<BLOCKQUOTE class=uncited>A former aide to Robert Kilroy Silk has launched a group which aims to fight back at what it views as "Islamofascism". Tony Bennett, who worked as a researcher for the former politician and television presenter, is recruiting members for the Active Resistance to Islamification, which plans to "erect one sign or symbol that is offensive to those sensitive Muslim flowers in our midst for every one they succeed in removing from our society". Bennett, who believes Islam is an "evil force" but insists that he "doesn't believe in discrimination", added: "Last week one Muslim said he was offended by a picture of a pig and demanded that all things resembling pigs at his work were removed." In retaliation Bennett painted a St George's cross on a "Welcome to Harlow" road sign. Last year he left the UK Independence party after describing the prophet Muhammad as a paedophile.

A link to DF where he is talking about Catholics.

Can I make it clear that I do not consider the Roman Catholic system to be Christian.
In my King James Bible, there is an address to King James from the wonderful collection of Christian theologians who translated the Hebrew and Greek canonical writings into plain English, from 1603 to 1611.
A passage in that address states:
"...the zeal of Your Majesty towards the house of God doth not slack or go backward, but is more and more kindled...by writing in defence of the truth (which has given such a blow to that man of sin as will not be healed)..."
The 'man of sin', or 'Antichrist', was identified in this address as the Pope, or more strictly, all the Popes, and that was the settled view of the Protestant Reformers.
I agree with it

I just copied it all over from PFA2. Jayelles did most of the work, though others added bits too. I thought it deserved a mention here. bennett is trying to smear me, so I thought it only fair to show the true character of the man. As someone on PFA stated, he never seems to finish a job. Could this be the reason why he is vehemently against Mr Mrs McCann? After all, it really is natural, or normal is it? how can he do this to people has not met? Judging their characters, judging their child care on one isolated incident, to such an extent? To such an a vile way,, it has been nothing short of harassment and a prolonged assault, now aided and abetted by Debbie Butler. I always thought there was more to his apparent hatred of them, there had to be.

I also did his family tree but I won't post that out of respect for privacy. His entire family were easy to find with the exception of his father. This surprised me given the claims he has made about his father being an army major who had the distinction of being chosen to receive the first nazi surrender document at the end of WWII. I have known three army majors and all were pillars of the community types. They often get hired as bursars in private schools having both management experience and being considered to have impeccable character and trustworthiness. Essentially, they are people who tend to have obituaries when they die and so far, I have found none for any Major Bennett of nazi surrender fame. Nor have I found any other mention of such a person in any of the military genealogy sites that I've looked at so far.

Interestingly, I did find a marriage between someone with the same (unusual) surname as his mother and a dutchman called Anton... :-)

It was me who said he never seems to finish a job. If I were looking at his cv, it's the first thing that would scream out at me. He jumps from job to job, project to project. He gets himself whipped up into a frenzy and then moves on to the next thing without really achieving much at all.

Also of note, is the fact that he rarely stays on good terms with the people he works with - especially his political endeavours. He seems to start new venture, then falls out with the people he's working with then he leaves and spends considerable energy attacking them!

I think he is a professional complainer. In practically every reference I found to him on the Internet, he was opposing something.

Indeed he is. Look at how many letters of complaint he's written to newspapers, forums, mp's etc.

I think his opinion about Catholics (and the Pope) might have influenced him regarding the McCann family. I wish i could have found that post he's made elsewhere about it (not on the DF).

To me it looks like he's got a fundamental distrust in
people when I see him posting how, according to him, the nannies lied, the friends lied, everybody lied.
