Cuddle Cat ... Letting the quotes do all the work.

Tony Bennett misrepresents many points in his abridged 30 reasons, which I presume are contained, also, in his expanded book: 60 reasons to suggest Madeleine was not abducted (though I've not read it). But in the abridged version, Mr Bennett states that the pair of British dogs (Eddie and Keela) are cadaver dogs (even though what he goes on to state makes plain he understands Keela detects, alone, human blood and is not, therefore, a cadaver dog); that Mark Harrison recommended that the investigation proceed on the working assumption that Madeleine died in the apartment (when that assertion actually came from PJ officer Joao Carlos); that Eddie's handler, Martin Grimes, has stated that Eddie has never been wrong in any case he has been involved in (when Grimes has never said any such thing). But here's one assertion of Mr. Bennett's (from his 30 reasons) that does seem to have a basis (about cuddle cat):

Eddie found cadaverine on what was said to be Madeleine’s favourite pink soft toy, ‘Cuddle Cat’, which Dr Kate McCann always had with her when being interviewed by the media - but which Eddie detected lying in an otherwise empty cupboard. Here it should be noted that, earlier, Eddie had found Cuddle Cat in the living room at the McCanns’ rented home, tossed it in the air, but not actually ‘marked’ it by barking. He later marked it when the police re-located it in the cupboard.

Here is another quote by the Spanish-based journalist, Danny Collins, from his book Vanished (about Madeleine's disappearance):

Meanwhile, in Portugal, buoyed by the '100% accuracy' of the forensic reports [of results from the Renault Scenic], Goncalo Amaral passed his crime file to the public prosecutor. ... This was followed by a request [to an examining magistrate] to seize ... Kate McCann's diary. The judge was also asked for permission to seize and examine Madeleine's 'cuddle cat', which had been within the investigator's orbit for almost four months when its strange location went unquestioned by the police in attendance.

So Eddie found cuddle cat and tossed it in the air without barking; but was then invited to search for it a second time after it had been hidden and reacted? Why would all that be? And why the interest of the PJ in the toy only 4 months after the search by the dogs?

Yep, just another one of those strange anomalies that the PJ do not explain, that no one explains really.

In case they do not understand the questions, let us ask them again, clearly and unequivocally.

  1. "Why did Eddie the cadaver scenting dog NOT indicate a positive when he found Cuddle cat in the bin in the lounge?''
  2. "Why did Eddie the cadaver scenting dog indicate a positive AFTER cuddle cat had been picked up and placed in the cupboard in the bedroom by whom exactly? ?Goncalo Amaral ?Any other PJ member or ?Martin Grimes?
  3. Why did cuddle cat suddenly become important after 4 months?
